This page documents the part of my metallurgy background that is supported by direct public records: a compact account of experimental work and publications.

Industrial questions, examined through materials.

At ETH Zurich's Laboratory for Nanometallurgy, I worked on laser-clad, carbide-reinforced metal-matrix coatings with OC Oerlikon. The public ETH account describes experiments, electron microscopy, in-situ mechanical testing and the link between process parameters, microstructure and part performance.

My published work also covers wear testing of metallic bonds for reinforced-concrete cutting and filament-extrusion additive manufacturing of 316L stainless steel.

Boundary

These records support experience in experimental metallurgy, characterisation and industry-linked research. They do not qualify a material, component or production route. My paid research employment ran from 2017 to 2021; doctoral studies continued through 2023. The public claim here is limited to the work and records listed.

The common thread is experimental: connect processing to microstructure, measure the relevant response and keep the application context visible. That foundation informs how I read industrial technology decisions today.
